Our Gym

Watt Street Gym is a comprehensive fitness and nutrition center. With top of the line equipment and a highly trained staff, WSG develops members of all levels to their fullest potential. Watt Street also combines rowing into its training plans for a full cardiovascular and strength training program. WSG gym offers a range of classes, personal training services and nutritional coaching.

Shannon Fowler

Shannon Fowler wears many hats here at Watt Street Gym. She is a certified personal trainer, strength and Conditioning coach, group fitness instructor, and nutritionist. She also handles all of our social media platforms and makes sure that you are up to date on all things Watt Street. Shannon spent the first couple of years with her certification focused solely on nutrition. She specializes in helping her clients learn and apply a healthy nutrition lifestyle to their busy schedules. Her primary focus now is her PowerFit classes at Watt Street. She has designed a strength and conditioning class with options of weight lifting, HIIT, and rowing.   Shannon not only balances a busy lifestyle with the gym but she is also a mom to 2 boys and a wife to a busy realtor in Maryville. She has a passion for all things fitness and nutrition and she is ready to share her experience with you!

Jenny Morelock

Jenny Morelock is a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and has over 12 years of experience in the fitness industry. 

The strength and conditioning class will target your primary muscle groups throughout each week’s programming. You will utilize everything from bodyweight movements to corrective exercises, to Olympic lifts to achieve overall strength and conditioning. Each class will begin with a specific warmup routine to have you primed to tackle the workout and a cooldown that applies mobility work to help you feel your best when you walk out the door.

 

Pilates with Colleen Hoar

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving anatomical alignment and flexibility.  Pilates focuses on the concept of control, working to lift against gravity using the resistance of springs or ropes and pulleys on a sliding surface, isolating and strengthening your muscles and connective tissue.

Colleen Hoar was finding herself beaten up from her workouts and training from CrossFit, Triathlons, Zumba, and various classes and found pilates in her search for a workout that energizes, strengthens, and is least likely to lead to injury.   After her first session, she said to herself, “I could do this every day for the rest of my life”.  She is certified in STOTT Pilates, Body Blade and is working toward her Neuro Exercise Certification to successfully blend the functional neurology of pain relief and performance enhancement. Strength Training

Most of our classes focus on strength training. This would be a mixture of weight lifting and body weight in specific repetitions and exercises focusing on muscle groups. These types of workouts will help with strength and endurance. In each of our strength training classes, certified trainers will coach on form and ensure the safety of each member.

Nutrition

At Watt Street, we want to help everyone reach their fitness goals. The best way to achieve a lean and fit body is to provide the appropriate fuel needed to reach these goals. We recommend whole foods that are minimally processed and do not promote inflammation. We offer personalized one-on-one nutritional advice for fat loss, increased performance, or muscle gain. With the right mix of diet and exercise, we are positive that we can improve your fitness and overall health.
